What is the point of a woman covering her hair (in regards to religion)?

hair is considered to be extremely feminine and enticing- you dont want the men having nasty thoughts in church:) there are a couple of other reasons besides that- it depends on the religion. some cover their hair to avoid making the angels lustful...some as a sign of respect.
