Windows Install/HDD/Blue Screen problems. Help please.?

I have posted many times with no positive outcome so I decided to try one last tme. A few weeks ago I decided to restore my Compaq Presario 6000Z because of sluggishness and mive amounts of junk on the machine. I created my own Recovery CDs after setting up the PC as per instructed and that went well. Now, 4 years later I used them and everything looked good until the 5th (and last) CD and got Blue Screened. I tried 1/2 dozen times with the same result. I ordered the Factory set but in the meantime I successfully formatted the whole HDD and tried again. No luck. When the factory CDs came in I tried them and no luck. I reformatted the drive and performed a ScanDisk. Guess what. No errors! After all these failures I tried everything from using different programs to wipe the drive, remove the battery, you name it. I only get Blue Screened when trying to install something. Anyone know someway of figuring out what is wrong from home w/o using techs or other computers? Thanks.
