I screwed up ! And time is running out!?

Well i was "going out" with this guy who i truly did love but i was really shy because of personal problems but then i screwed up becaus ei would always say bye and oh this is not going to work out its going to be hard to say bye. So i accidentally broke up with him and now hes doing stuff to ease the "pain" and i feel so bad because i love him and i actually cried and some othe problems are adding on top what should i do ?
