Is Republican America thrashing wildly, striking out at anything and everything?

the republicans have ALWAYS united around, and won their elections because of, the "the hated group du jour"...they are chronically, and comically, FOR being AGAINST people and things...that's why they do so well with talk radio...a format entirely dependent on hatred, hyperbole, and outrage...their current problem is finding a group to hate that will get them a majority in the next election...
